Any city councillor who thinks that "night life" is a subject for some kind of Townhall has got to be pretty thick or some kind of a nanny-state liberal. Yes, I know you are a liberal too, but you will see my point. Night life is not something that people plan or talk seriously about -- that, surely, is the point of night life. It is supposed to be fun, and comparatively spontaneous. They should be pleased that some kind of business has grown up in that area, particularly at night. Without night life, cities die after dark, and become nests of panhandling and strange perversions. As long as residents are not inconvenienced, surely there is no purpose in "discussions" of the kind he proposed. Glad to see this kind of activism that you are doing, on behalf of the people.
