My son and are with my Mother at Cairnsmore Place in Duncan, B.C. Along with her we watched the Remembrance Day ceremonies on CBC. Mum watched and dozed a little. I held her hand as the Last Post played.

By the Duncan train station, where VIA Rail no longer runs, in the park on Canada Avenue, the war memorial stands. Inscribed are the names of two uncles known only to me through stories from aunts and uncles, Mum and my late father.
